Healthy soils grow healthy vegetables.
Welcome to Peacefield Farm!
We’re a small market garden enterprise located near Ludington, Michigan. We practice sustainable
agriculture, which means applying only natural fertilizers and pesticides, and using techniques that
conserve soil and water quality. The result is food as nature intended: fresh, full of nutrients, and
produced without harm...to the soil or to you.
While we are not USDA certified organic, we do follow all of the requirements of the organic standards,
known as National Organic Program (NOP). All of our crops are grown without artificial inputs, i.e.,
we don’t use artificially created chemicals or pesticides on our growing plants. Nope, not a one.
Instead, we nurture the health our sandy-loam soil with compost and natural rock amendments.
Though we are exempt from the certification requirements, because our gross sales are less than
the $5,000 minimum required by the NOP, we choose to comply with the NOP requirements because
its the right thing to do!
We invite you to look around our web site today....maybe it'll entice you to come look at our farm
someday.
To place an order for vegetables, Send an email to Lorrie.
2007 was our first year growing crops for sale, so we have a limited variety of vegetables and flowers
available. Please be patient.
Also, if you would like us to grow a favorite vegetable, send an email to Lorrie with your request. We'll do
our best to grow that item(s) for you.
